ANS: Mount Kilimanjaro can be climbed all year round, however June to December is preferred by many because heavy rainfall is unlikely during this period.

3. Can I hike Mount Kilimanjaro without a tour company?

ASN: No, you need a tour company when hiking Mt Kilimanjaro, this is because minimum days to hike Mt Kilimanjaro is 5 days. During this time you need food, water, someone to guide you and carry some of your needs ( items/materials). All these services are provided by a tour company. The regulation was established to guide this activity and therefore TANAPA deals with Tanzania registered tour company when doing all climbing arrangements and not natural individuals.

6. What do I do if I want to visit your parks?

ANS: First you need to decide which parks you want to visit after going through a number of literatures. To visit some of our parks ( Climbing Mount Meru and Kilimanjaro) you must have a tour company. The company is responsible with all logistics required for you to climb the mountains, also as an authority we only deal with registered tour company on Mountain climbing issues.
